Home Education in Scotland - Alison Preuss will explore the history of Home Education in Scotland. Looking at both the successes and the challenges facing the community.

Alison started home educating her own three children in 1994 and co-founded the Scottish home education charity Schoolhouse in Dundee in 1996, which she co-ordinated for 20 years. She set up the Scottish home education online forum in 1999, which is now part of the Home Education Forums network, and co-founded the children's rights campaign group ARCH in 2001. Alison helped form the NO2NP coalition, which won the landmark 'named person' case at the Supreme Court in 2016, and is currently co-petitioning parliament for a public inquiry into the impact on families of illegal data sharing.
